Be a Savvy Storage User: Rental periods are not all the same!

Storage is storage, right? No! Seems the same, right? No!

Storage can be rented “by the month” or in “4 week increments”. It seems like the same statement – but it’s not! Some storage operators think the general public is not savvy enough to consider there are 52 weeks in a year.

Because there are 52 weeks in a year, 52 divided by four weeks = 13. Therefore, a “four-week rental” storage, for a year, will equal 13 payments, not 12 payments like a “monthly” storage rental company.

The “4-week” guys have got another month of rent from you and charge by the week. Sometimes they will reduce the rent slightly so the price looks better against a “monthly” company like Sentinel. We prorate at vacate and charge you by the day if you only need a few extra days after your due date. Why pay for something you don’t need? Be a savvy storage user and ask the questions BEFORE you select a storage provider. It can save you money!
