July 1, 2023 - Congratulating Access Storage on its 25th anniversary 

It was a humble beginning.  

When Access Storage launched in 1997, it only had a few locations, and all those stores were entirely in the Greater Toronto Area. Although they had the same commitment to community building and top-notch customer service that defines the company today, it took time for Access Storage to grow into what it eventually became.  

What it became is the largest and most well-known self-storage provider in Ontario, Saskatchewan, Manitoba and Nova Scotia. As a proud sister company, Sentinel Storage congratulates Access Storage as it celebrates its 25th Anniversary.    

The evolution from a small operation to the self-storage leader it became happened through a strategic and methodical approach to growth. Combining smart acquisitions with state-of-the-art new builds, Access Storage is proud to operate more than 140 stores, including locations in every major market in the provinces that it operates in.    

However, the total amount of stores they operate in is only part of the story of their success -- a small part. The success of Access Storage is based on its people and the commitment they have shown to serve the communities they live and operate in.  

Shop Canadian. Store Canadian isn’t an empty slogan at Access Storage. They strongly believe in the value of being a Canadian business that is working to improve the lives of Canadians. They don’t just operate locations here. They also live here. The communities that their stores are located in are the places that they call home.  

That reality has informed Access Storage and motivated them to get involved in the community. In total, they work with more than 200 partners. Ranging from national partners like professional sports teams and healthcare charities to local events like community fairs or literary festivals and everything in between, Access Storage takes great pride in the work they do in the community.  

As Access Storage celebrates its 25th anniversary, we find ourselves reflecting on how much they’ve accomplished in that time. More importantly, we are looking forward to seeing what the next 25 years will be like as they continue to grow and thrive alongside the Canadians they serve.
