Canada is going to the FIFA World Cup – and StorageVault Canada will be there to support them!

Congratulations to Canada Soccer’s Men’s National Team on qualifying to the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022™. The passion you showed in qualifying is a testament to your character and the values Canadians hold dear. StorageVault Canada looks forward to cheering you on in Qatar!

"I think this country, they never believed in us. Because we've given them nothing to believe in," said John Herdman, Canada Soccer Men’s National Team Head Coach. "They believe now. And I think if we all get behind each other — this is the time for everyone to get behind football and unite. Because we can be a powerhouse. And it's time."

The men successfully navigated a grueling year-long qualifying campaign that took them from the edge of South America to the deep freeze of Edmonton’s Commonwealth Stadium and everywhere in between. When the final whistle blew on Sunday at Toronto’s BMO Field following the team’s 4:0 win over Jamaica Canadians from coast-to-coast rejoiced at this remarkable achievement.

Despite having not qualified to a FIFA World Cup in nearly 37 years, Canada Soccer’s Men’s National Team have became the talk of the soccer world, topping the final qualifying group ahead of traditional North American powers Mexico and the United States.

During this incredible run, Canada managed to secure its first FIFA World Cup Qualifying win against the United States since the 1980s, as well as securing historic wins in El Salvador, Honduras and against Mexico.

Led by global superstar Alphonso Davies, who plays at one of the biggest teams in the world in Bayern Munich, this team is just getting going. The Edmonton-native may be the biggest name on the roster, but he is far from the only force. Ottawa’s Jonathan David is posed to make a big money move in the summer, having being linked to famous English clubs Liverpool and Arsenal, and Brampton’s Cyle Larin has lead the team in scoring throughout the qualifying campaign.

The man stirring the drink is a charismatic English transplant in John Herdman. Now calling the Vancouver area home, Herdman is posed to be the first manager in history to manage in both the FIFA Women’s World Cup and FIFA Men’s World Cup. He is truly a ground-breaking and innovative manager.

Although we yet to know who Canada will play in the World Cup, this is a team that all Canadians can be proud to support and cheer on to victory.
